The sea between Matara (Dondra) and Galle is guaranteed to be the easiest places to watch whales, a top spot to watch blue whales and sperm whales.

During November to April whales come to find warm water for mating. They can be very easily spotted in that season.

Watching whales is an unforgettable experience especially in down south Sri Lanka.
